About Ben's Cloud

Welcome to Ben's Cloud, a unified ecosystem built to host, manage, and showcase a variety of self-hosted services and personal tech projects.

This platform serves as a central hub for my development environments, system documentation, and self-hosted applications, all running out of a dedicated home laboratory environment.

The Tech Stack & Ecosystem

The core philosophy behind this network is complete data ownership and leveraging the power of open-source software. The infrastructure relies heavily on a stable Linux ecosystem and modular containerization.

  • Infrastructure & Virtualization: Managed backend infrastructure using robust virtualization tools (virt-manager, Cockpit) to segregate services cleanly.
  • Containerization: Utilizes Docker to deploy, isolate, and scale lightweight applications efficiently.
  • Networking: Secured and interconnected via Tailscale, ensuring seamless access across environments without exposing unnecessary attack surfaces.
